Storefront policies

These policies cover online purchases from EVDrive through the BetterBMS Store, including returns, cancellations, shipping, warranty service, terms of sale, and privacy.

Effective July 21, 2026

Returns and refunds

Contact EVDrive through Evie before sending a product back. EVDrive will provide return authorization and shipping instructions. Unauthorized returns may be refused.

Standard, non-custom products may be returned within 30 calendar days after delivery when they are unused, uninstalled, unmodified, undamaged, and returned with the original packaging and included materials.

Items that cannot be returned at the customer's discretion

  • Products that have been installed, energized, programmed, altered, disassembled, or damaged after delivery.
  • Products configured or manufactured to customer specifications.
  • Built-to-order products after parts procurement or production has begun.
  • Smart PDU units, custom battery hardware, and engineering deliverables governed by a separate quote or statement of work.

EVDrive may deduct a 15 percent restocking fee after inspecting a nondefective return. The customer pays return freight, and original shipping charges are not refundable. These deductions do not apply when EVDrive shipped the wrong item or approves a warranty claim.

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method, normally within 10 business days after inspection. The customer's financial institution may take additional time to post the credit.

Order cancellations and lead times

An automated receipt confirms that EVDrive received an order. It does not guarantee acceptance, inventory allocation, or a shipment date. EVDrive may contact the customer to confirm application details, availability, or shipping requirements before accepting an order.

An in-stock order may be cancelled until it enters fulfillment. A built-to-order item may be cancelled until EVDrive confirms that parts procurement or production has begun. Once that work begins, the order is noncancelable except when required by law or agreed by EVDrive in writing.

Published lead times are estimates based on the information available when the order is accepted. If EVDrive cannot ship within the promised time, EVDrive will provide a revised estimate and any cancellation or refund option required by applicable law.

Shipping and delivery

The storefront initially accepts orders for delivery within the United States. Products ship from EVDrive in Portland, Oregon. Carrier and service options may vary by product, package size, destination, and order value.

Shipping charges are shown before payment whenever checkout can calculate them. Product lead time covers preparation or production before shipment and is separate from carrier transit time.

The customer is responsible for providing a complete, deliverable address. Additional carrier charges caused by an incorrect address, refused delivery, or repeated delivery attempts may be charged to the customer where permitted.

Inspect shipments promptly. Visible or concealed damage must be reported to EVDrive through Evie within five calendar days after delivery. Include the order number, photographs of the product and packaging, and a description of the damage. Keep all packaging until EVDrive or the carrier says it may be discarded.

EVD-M-200 motor shipments include declared-value coverage and require an adult signature at delivery.

EVDrive limited hardware warranty

EVDrive warrants to the original purchaser that eligible EVDrive hardware will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months from the shipment date.

If EVDrive confirms a covered defect, EVDrive may repair the product, replace it with the same or a reasonably equivalent product, or refund the purchase price. EVDrive selects the remedy to the extent permitted by law.

What the warranty does not cover

  • Incorrect installation, wiring, polarity, voltage, cooling, configuration, or use outside published limits.
  • Misuse, abuse, collision, contamination, water intrusion outside the product rating, external electrical faults, or inadequate system protection.
  • Unauthorized modification, repair, disassembly, firmware changes, or altered identification labels.
  • Normal wear, cosmetic damage that does not affect operation, or compatibility problems caused by third-party components.
  • Labor, removal, reinstallation, vehicle downtime, towing, or costs outside the EVDrive product unless EVDrive agrees otherwise in writing.

To request warranty service, contact EVDrive through Evie with the order number, product serial number when applicable, a description of the issue, installation details, and supporting photographs or diagnostic information. Do not return a product until EVDrive authorizes the return.

Any implied warranties that cannot legally be excluded are limited to this warranty's duration where the law permits. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or certain damages, so some limitations may not apply.

Terms of sale

EVDrive may correct prices, product descriptions, preliminary specifications, availability, and lead times before accepting an order. EVDrive may reject or cancel an order affected by an obvious pricing, inventory, or technical error and will refund any payment received for the cancelled item.

The customer is responsible for determining whether a product suits the intended application and for using qualified personnel to design, install, configure, and validate the system. High-voltage and propulsion components can cause serious injury, death, fire, or property damage when handled or integrated improperly.

Specifications described as preliminary, simulated, maximum, nominal, or estimated do not guarantee that a complete vehicle or system will achieve the same result. Performance depends on the full system, including the battery, inverter, cooling, controls, gearing, installation, duty cycle, and operating environment.

Smart PDU units, configured systems, custom products, and engineering services may be governed by a separate quote, statement of work, deposit schedule, acceptance criteria, or warranty. Project-specific written terms control if they conflict with these storefront terms.

The customer is responsible for applicable taxes, shipping charges, permits, certifications, and regulatory requirements unless EVDrive agrees otherwise in writing. Initial storefront sales are limited to domestic United States delivery.

To the extent permitted by law, EVDrive is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from a product or order.

Privacy notice

EVDrive collects information needed to operate the storefront and respond to inquiries. This may include a customer's name, company, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, order details, support history, and technical information voluntarily provided about an application.

When a visitor uses Evie, EVDrive may retain the conversation and the contact, project, or product information provided so the team can answer questions, prepare a quote, and follow up.

Payment information is processed by Stripe or another payment provider identified at checkout. EVDrive does not intend to store complete payment-card numbers on the storefront.

EVDrive uses customer information to process orders, shipping, returns, and warranty requests; provide support and quotations; prevent fraud; meet accounting, tax, and legal obligations; and improve the site through tools such as Google Analytics.

Information may be shared with payment processors, carriers, hosting and analytics providers, professional advisers, and other service providers when reasonably needed for these purposes. EVDrive does not sell personal information.

EVDrive keeps information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including legal, accounting, support, and warranty obligations. Contact EVDrive through Evie to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable law provides that right.
